Not sure what to say?

One of the nicest teachers I ever had, still reminisce today on his kindness and wittiness.

I was privileged to know Paul as we pursued our undergraduate degree at Wollongong University in the late 80's. Back then he loved life, but was also an inward thinking quiet personality who observed and processed all things around him. As I heard of his passing only today, I look to see that he leaves behind a loving wife and beautiful children. He was always the champion for those that were unable to speak up for themselves, and I know/ hope that his children will remember their Dad for...

I was saddened and shocked to hear this tragic news. Paul was an outstanding teacher respected by colleagues, students and parents. I will always remember his great sense of humour. My condolences to all his family.

Paully Russell Larkin - I'm devastated. I can't believe I'm writing in your obituary. So much fun, laughter and adventure in our university years. An amazing man - caring, fun, funny, wonderful.. It was my privilege to share those fantastic years together. I can't imagine the loss to Laura, Elizabeth, Daniel, Finlay and the beautiful Larkin Family. I will cherish our memories forever.

Paully Russell Larkin I'm devastated. I can't believe I'm writing in a obituary for you. You were the most fun, caring, and beautiful person. So so many wonderful happy memories of university together. I cannot imagine the loss to Laura, Elizabeth, Daniel, Finlay and the beautiful Larkin family. My heart felt thoughts to you all. He really was a fantastic human being - it was my privilege to have been part of his life. I will cherish those memories forever. Lisa Ann

A very special man who married a beautiful person who was dedicated to his children and family. I feel extremely privileged to have worked with both Paul and Laura at Carinya. Paul's compassion and skill in working with students with multiple challenges impacted greatly on my professional career as well as being a fantastic bloke. My heart is with his family and feel very honoured to have known and worked him.

This is a great shock, and I want to pass on my most immense condolences to his family and friends. I'll never forget him taking me aside when I was a student at IGS to express his disappointment because he thought I had said something homophobic. (Luckily it was an easy conversation - I hadn't.) A really, really good guy who was a great asset to the culture of the school. I can only imagine he was a wonderful man to know outside the school walls.

Very shocked to hear about Paul. Went to Penshurst Marist together, although different year. Being a small school, knew everyone. Really nice person, kind and always friendly. Very saddened by his very early death. I do not know his family, my thoughts and prayers are with them.

Though he was never my class teacher, I felt that he taught me regardless. He left such an impact on everyone he came into contact with, and was always one of the most beloved teachers at IGS. Paul was "as clear as mud".
