I always said it was good that his initials were P.R. because Pete Leatherwood was the consummate public relations professional! But far beyond that was the welcoming spirit and inclusion in the community I experienced as we built a friendship. His mentoring and shared knowledge as well as his good humor were instrumental in the early start of my career. The blessing out of that, too, was the friendship built with our families and how I got to be part of Cherie's musical talent! It was nice...
