I know this is long overdue, but as one of Paul's many grandchildren, I have taken this past year to reflect on my life with the man. I come now to think of him as a hero, as surreal as it may seem. Not in the since that he saved me, but in it that I have now grown a year older without him. Papa was there for his grandchildren, watching their soccer games, commonly attending their activities, he was always so loving of us. Paul and I were lifelong friends. We grew up in the same neighborhood and drove to Santa Fe together to take the bar exam. We never lost contact. He and Judy were a great help to me after my divorce, and welcomed Carol, now my wife of 48 years and counting. He was a wonderful friend and respected by everyone. So long ole pal.
