Not sure what to say?

It was good to know you Ed!

On behalf of Ed McBride's family , I would like to thank everyone who has posted their condolances. All of you who knew him knew what a great son, brother, father and friend that he was. His battle with that dreaded disease cancer was fought with everything that he had. He was determined to beat it but I guess that God wanted his talents in heaven. He is at peace now and he is not suffering anymore. Thank you all. Ed's sister, Hope

Hey McBride - you inspired me with your amazing strength, friendship, and unrelenting determination. I miss you terribly and will always cherish the time we spent together in an out of the office. Jones

Ed I will miss you alot

I knew Ed for many, many years. He was an inspiration to me both as an individual and a co-worker. There were many fond memories ~ to many to write about. That being said, I will never forget the times we spent together as he played his guitar with Alan; all the while coaxing Sandy and I to sing along. These precious memories will never fade; just as Ed's spirit will never fade from my heart.

Ed McBride was a cool, fun spirit! Although I did not know him for as long, or as well as others who worked alongside him... it was simply a pleasure just to have known him at all. His illness was a long, tough journey but now I pray that the Lord will grant him eternal rest, comfort and peace.

So sorry for your loss, Marty. I am sure your Dad is very proud of what a fine man you have become and is smiling down on you from heaven.

Ed was an amazing mentor and friend throughout my years at Letterkenny. He always had time to talk about beagles, his love of the outdoors, and his son. He was a devoted Civil Servant. He will be missed by many.

Ed, you were an inspiration to every who knew you. Thank you for making me a better person. The years we spent together will be fondly remembered. And I'll always try to keep the two wheels upright on the rode! The world is a little dimmer without your light in it. You're at peace now.
