Paul M. Munger

Tallahassee - Paul Martel Munger, 69, of Tallahassee, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Paul was the younger of two siblings born to Robert Orin Munger and Mary Evelyn Meador Munger in Louisiana, Missouri.

Paul played the jazz saxophone and was a longtime member of the Tallahassee Swing Band. He was an extremely talented carpenter. He built his own house, and he was the set designer and stage and lighting technician for many theaters around Tallahassee, such as Ruby Diamond, Theatre Tallahassee, and the Civic Center.

Paul is survived by his wife, Nancy Munger, sons David Brian McDaniel of Key Largo and Richard Bryce McDaniel of Tallahassee, and grandchildren Taylor and Kailee McDaniel.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Sunday, July 8, at 3:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood on Timberlane Road. To respect Paul's casual nature, please dress casually. Refreshments will be available after the celebration.

Paul, your passing was such a shock to all who loved you. You are gone way too soon. You had so much more to do in this life.I will always cherish your memory. Your kindness, your laughter, your story-telling. I'll try to take care of Nancy as best I can. I know others will, too. You will be sorely missed.
