It was a pleasure to know Mr. Murphy. It was wonderful to see both of you at ur MHS.'68 reunion. It brought back the memory of you courting before you married.(It wasn't a secret no matter how you tried, just the way he looked at you gave it away) May all your happy memories together comfort you, Know also Mr. Murphy gave all his MHS students wonderful memories too. I am deeply saddened by the news of Paul Murphy's passing. I don't exaggerate when I say that Mr. Murphy had a profound impact on my life. He coached me in football and wrestling for three seasons from 1959 to 1963. Besides my father, I spent more time with Mr. Murphy that I did with any other adult during those years. He was a dedicated teacher who selflessly devoted himself to coaching, teaching, nurturing and caring for those in his charge. His caring extended beyond the classroom,...

I was one of his most reluctant driver's ed students. I am sure I also added some excitement to those training drives. He was a patient, wonderful teacher. He will be missed so much.
