Between leaving school and entering the police (where my first sergeant was Martin) Paul provided a job at a critical time for me - it was building the Potou school with Jimmy Hannan. Of Paul I suggest the following well applies: "As lives of great men (and women) remind us We can make our lives sublime. And, departing leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time." Paul's legacy extends beyond the Northern Wairoa.
