My friend Paul is in a better place. We played ball and drums as kids, worked hard together at the Argus Leader in high school, and pursued our futures in college. Paul was a man of humor and great intellect and we worked to produce a weekly campus newspaper. He was a rebel with a cause and he was a patriot who served his country when it called. My friend was a gentle man.
