DR. PAUL OLYNNYK Ph.D.

Paul was a colleague and friend at Cleveland State University. He was one of the first faculty members I met when I joined the faculty in 1973. His work in the Environmental Sciences division in the College of Urban Studies was ahead of its time and a precursor to the current programs at CSU and elsewhere. We have had the privilege to be Paul's neighbor for the past few years. I've greatly admired his independence, self-reliance, depth of knowledge, his quiet sense of humor and his kindness. I'm very glad to have had the chance to know him. We will miss him.

I worked with Paul at the Eastern Campus Book Center at TRI-C for many years. Even while he was tutoring he would stop in the Book Center to visit. He will be greatly missed. He was a very nice man. My prayers are with his family.
