Not sure what to say?

Oh our dear father. A man of patience, wisdom, faith, love, and grateful for all life gave him. If heaven allows him glimpses to peek in on the ever growing legacy he left us all with (starting with choosing our amazing mom his beloved Ardis) he would know his prayers for us all and his guidance and love when here on earth continues to web out wide and wonderfully. I feel like I know him even better now than I did while he was here with us. Things he wrote, extra stories from his brother...

Milo and Paul's family,
I attended school with Paul in the little country school near Lunder Church. It sounds like he had a wonderful life and was loved and respected by all who knew him.
My name then was Alvera Bakken. I now live in CA with my husband of 58 years.
May God Bless you all,
Alvera Bakken Gaeta

I lift you all in prayer as you celebrate Paul's life. Paul was one of my mentors when I joined IBM as a CE in 1978. I learned a great deal from him and it was clear to me from the start that he was a very loving and patient man. I remember that all of the other CE's called him "Opie". I trust that I will see him again. Gods blessings and comfort to you all!

Thinking of you all as you honor Paul for a life well lived. Sending special loving support to Milo and BettyLou.

Sending prayers and love to the families of Paul Oppegard, especially thinking of Pauls 4 daughters and ther children. Much love to Julie Johnson, and her 2 daughters as well. The cherished times, his big heart of love, and godly man, will be carried on with his family, remembering him always.

Our prayers are with you all. He will be missed You were blessed to have such a wonderful father.

It was a pleasure to have gotten to know your Dad at Red Cedar, Kathie. Easy to see why you will miss him, though you have a lifetime of wonderful memories to keep him close.

My heart goes out to all of Paul's family and friends. I and my family fondly remember the warm, welcoming hospitality that Paul and Ardis extended to us when we visited the Twin Cities in '92. On a previous visit I heard Paul and Kathie playing with Spelmanslag. That set my feet tapping and I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day. Thank you Paul.

Paul was a great neighbor to all of us for so many years. He always had a great smile. One thing that always makes me laugh is that my cat used to disappear over to his deck and Paul would say he would see her face through the window. I would always run over there and get her and he would always say that he loved having her over for dinner. He had a great sense of humor, and in so many ways, we will miss our dear neighbor.
