Not sure what to say?

Mr. Perras was as gifted a teacher as he was an artist. I have fond memories of learning from him about the tools and craft of woodworking in a fun and safe environment that cultivated artistic expression. My deepest condolences to his friends and family at this difficult time.

Paul was such an artist and teacher, a listener and creator. As my son, Nathan, noted in this Guest Book, he created a sculpture of a paper airplane following the Challenger disaster that was creative, touching, and beautiful. It meant so much to all of us at the school during the months following the accident.

My sympathies to Paul's family.

Wow, a great man has passed. I loved his wood shop classes. I'll never forget a statue he made of a paper airplane that I think was put in the Renbrook main 'quad' area, which I believed honored the legacy of the space shuttle that exploded in the 80s.

Mr. Perras thanks for the memories.

I have many happy memories of Paul - from riding his "go-kart" anvil down the street in Hartford with that crazy helmet, to him leading the charge down the Farmington River for a canoe party,
to the lounge chair in the back of
the VW bus "Tin Dog", to the epic trips to Rangeley in that same bus, to him chasing the sun across the porch in Rangeley, to him meticulously polishing away at his marble sculptures, to his wild and crazy art, to the funky things he carved and sent to me in...

I worked professionally with Paul and he was also a dear friend. Paul gave me two small sculptures of his which I cherish. I will miss Paul very much

Paul was one of those rare individuals you wish would be in your life. I had known him since 1962 and always valued his friendship. RIP my friend, you will be missed.

The twinkle in his eyes and his impish grin, with the personality to match, will be the way I will always remember Paul. Thanks for the wonderful memories, my friend, and I hope you were able to meet up with Bill.

R.I.P., and prayers to your loved ones.
