In 1982 I began my career as an Austin firefighter at fire station 19 on Balcones Drive. The crew would have workout in the truck room at 6:00 pm and on Saturdays the radio would always be tuned to KUT for Twine Time. Thanks Paul for all the great music and times, Austin fire stations will miss you.

It`s sod to loose a loved one. Paul was a special person, I knew him my whole life and thought he was the coolest uncle a kid could have! I wish I still had the cobra T shirt that wound around the capital building, I wore it out! Because of him my dad and the rest of the uncles my love of music lives on. you have not lived if you have not been at a RAY jam at grannies! We will all miss you Paul, we called him Tarzan. Best wishes Diana, stay strong. Many remember and love you both! Alister Ray

One night a hundred years ago I was sitting at home in my sweats doing nothing - heard on the radio that Paul and the boys were playing at Hut's...got up and went to Hut's and danced by myself to the great music. Paul, KUT days and Twine Time were the best of Austin for me. My condolences to you, Diana, and all of your family. Much love.

He was a remarkable man.
I am so glad he was able to make our last class reunion. It was fun catching up with him
