Not sure what to say?

In reading many of the entries, it is no surprise that Paul touched so many people. I met Paul when he first arrived at Notre Dame. As a young MBA student, Paul guided me through the process of getting ready to find a real job in the world. However, it was the countless nights at his apartment watching basketball games, listening about how great Villanova was, talking about life and getting advice from a wonderful man that will stay with me forever.
Paul and I became great friends,...

Dear Sally,
Although we have never met, I met Paul through a mutual friend while a student at Notre Dame. I have many fond memories of dinners with Paul (as a college student, a trip to an off campus restaurant was a treat!) and enjoyed his assistance in readying my resume through the career placement office (I got a great job after college!). Paul was a generous, kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. My husband, Lindsay and I still exchange holiday cards with him every year,...

Dear Sally,
I was sorry to hear of Paul's passing. We were blessed to grow up in the old neighborhood and I have many fond memories of Paul and you from that time. Hopefully those memories will bring happiness to your heart.

Dear Sally, I just learned of Paul's passing from his good friend Ned Bolcar. On behalf of my Notre Dame and Saint Mary's family, I send my deepest sympathy. His tireless dedication to this special community will live on.

Sincerely,

Dear Sally,
On behalf of the Phillipsburg Area Meals on Wheels staff and volunteers, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy upon the passing of your brother Paul. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May your memories give you comfort and may God's love sustain you at this difficult time.

Sallie,
What can be said about Paul "Doc" Reynolds? He touched so many people in so many circles and was the consummant Friend to all.Yes we all know he asked his fair amount of questions. But unlike most, he listened and remember the answers. He shared so much and lived each day getting the most out of them.
Doc to many, Paul to others. No matter what group he had us in, you always knew you had a big hearted supporter in your corner. He certainly will be missed, but stories and...

Sally, I am so sorry to hear about Paul, it is very difficult for me to accept his passing. As you know Paul and I have been close friends for 40 years from our time together as young instructors at Eastern Illinois University. At Eastern our offices were within 10 feet across the hall and it took about a week before discovering we were both Villanova graduates.
Over the years we attended close to, maybe more than, 100 Nova basketball games--and often the three of us would...

DEAR SALLY,
I WAS SO SADDENED TO HEAR OF BINKY'S RECENT DEATH. I HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF THE GOOD OLD DAYS ON HILLCREST BLVD WHERE WE HAD LOTS OF FUN. I HOPE THAT THESE FOND MEMORIES WILL SUSTAIN YOU AT THIS DIFFICULT TIME.

We had the pleasure of getting to know Paul during our son's time at Notre Dame, and through mutual friends. He certainly made a mark on our son's life and contributed towards the wonderful man he has become. That to us is Paul's legacy to the world, a generation of young men and women who are proud, well adjusted, successful Notre Dame grads, making a positive mark on the world. That would have been Paul's ultimate goal with every student he met. His dreams will carry on through them.
