Paul J. Rieman

RIEMAN, Paul J. – Of Flint, age 87, died on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.

 

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend David Chittenden officiating.

 

Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

 

Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.

 

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Sunday, 2-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

 

Paul was born in Flint, Michigan on March 22, 1929, the son of the late Paul and Lena (Schlegal) Rieman.

 

On November 8, 1952 he married Maria and she passed away on November 15, 2014.

 

He was a member of Great Lakes Baptist Temple.

 

He liked to go to casinos, deer hunting, roller skating and attending all of the grandchildren’s sporting events. He especially loved his family.

 

It was Paul’s wish in life to reach the age of 90.

 

Mr. Rieman was employed by GM for over 40 years.

 

Surviving are two children, Michael (Kim) and

Cheryl (Frank) Luna;

 

five grandchildren, Jason (Jackie) Rieman,

Eric Rieman,

Kristina Luna (Brian Rohner),

Renee (Kris) Britton and

Frank Luna;

 

ten great-grandchildren;

one brother, Ronnie (Pearl) Rieman;

two sisters, Shirley (Jim) Kennedy and Maxine (Fred) Wisner.

 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Goodman.
