I met Paul a few times at his mother-in-law's home in Winchester in the middle 60's. She and my grandmother were best friends in school. I remember watching him at the Garden a time or two as guests of Paul Jr. Fair winds and following seas my friend.

I had the privilege of knowing Paul since 1986. Lots of fun on the golf course, a great friend and insurance salesman. I had a good conversation with him about a month ago and will miss his friendship.

Paul was one of our favorites when he played for the old Boston 'Pics. During the war years, when the NFL was sidelined, we never failed to go into Boston to watch Paul, Fernie, Russ Kopak, Tommy Brennan, Moose Lallo, Gino Rossini and the rest of the 'Pics clobber the opposition. Paul couldn't have been more than 15 at the time, but could he ever skate!
I never forgot him, and I guess I never will.
Rest in Peace, Paul.
