Not sure what to say?

Dear Sue and Jeff, Reading these entries shows how impactful Paul was on many young lives, and in so many ways. The twinkle in his eyes never faded. It was always fun to see them shine, especially when the oysters arrived at the table! We hung on his stories of trips to exotic locales and his ability to interpret current events from first hand experiences with those places. We will miss him terribly and are keeping you in our prayers.

I remember Mr. Rowan as a man who had a zest for life and a twinkle in his eye but also a man who - at a time in high school when I really needed to hear it - was able to speak to me with dead seriousness about how I need to go to college, live up to my potential etc. And say it in a way that got through to me. There must be many generations of Branford High kids with similar stories. Rest in peace after a life well lived.

I can tell you this man definitely had a positive impact on my future. He had a different way of teaching. He kept me engaged and supported me. One class I took with him probably was the most helpful class in my entire life. "You and your money". Thank you Mr Rowan! Rest in peace.

So sad to hear of the passing of one of my mentors from my high school years -- I'm also so glad to hear that he lived such a full, varied life. My condolences to his friends and family. I was lucky enough to be one of the players that he and Jim McVeigh molded into an All-State award winner and I couldn't have achieved that without their guidance. Many years after I graduated high school, got married (to my high school sweetheart) and had children of my own, I'll always remember Mr. Rowan...

One of my two most favorite teachers of all time. Saddened to hear of his passing.

Great teacher, great coach, great person. Thanks Mr. Rowan.

A great teacher and greater man from the greatest generation of teachers at BHS. My heartfelt condolences to his family. Thank you Mr Rowan for being you.

Dear Susan and Jeff, I was deeply sorry to read of Paul's death. Vin enjoyed his association with Paul through Branford High School and always looked forward to seeing him and you at the Italian-American Club dinners. I know how awful this time is for you and please know that you both are in my thoughts and prayers. With great affection, Dinah Virgulto

He was one of my most well love teaches. I hold him in the highest regard
