Eckersell Funeral Home (Eckersell Memorial Chapel) Obituary

Paul Ruhl, age 73, of Roberts, Idaho, passed away on April 28, 2022 at his home with his wife, Victoria, at his bedside.  He passed peacefully in his sleep.

Paul was born on March 24, 1949 to Francis F. Ruhl and Mary M. Devenney in Lancaster Pennsylvania. He spent his childhood in Pennsylvania until he joined the Navy.

After he got out of the Navy (in California), he married Virginia and they had their first child, Debra Ruhl.  They divorced and Paul married Mary Westerbeck and they had their son Paul Matthew Ruhl.  They also divorced. He later married Victoria Lyn Robinson.

Paul was a police officer in Gardenia, California, and then worked for Northrop Grumman in El Segundo, California for the next 28 years. Paul and Victoria then spent 10 years running Sober Living Homes and they were on the Board of the Los Angeles County Sober Living Coalition.  Paul was a passionate and dedicated worker in every job and responsibility he accepted. One of his hobbies was making stained glass windows and decorations.

When Paul married Victoria, he happily became a second father to Victoria’s 4 children, Trent, Erica, Christopher and Justin Sabo and then grandpa to grandchildren, Jake, Josephine, Jacob, Colt and Little Veda.  Paul was baptized and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Paul is survived by his wife Victoria of Roberts, ID, his daughter Debbie Ruhl (Mike) of Bullhead, NV, his son Paul Matthew Ruhl (Ateliah) of Sacramento, CA, his sister Barbara Harvey (Bill) and his brother John Ruhl (Rosanne). He is also survived by all (to include Victoria's) his grandchildren Lincoln, Bailey, Ashley, Megan and great granddaughter Morgan.  Paul is preceded by his parents Francis and Mary Ruhl.

Not sure what to say?

We sure miss Paul, he was one "tough"
Guy.

Paul was a loyal husband, father, great and grandfather. He missed his family back in Pennsylvania but was able to stay up-to-date with them through social media and phone calls. He made his mark with everyone he met and was always available to anyone who needed someone to talk to. I miss his presence profoundly.

Rest in peace with honor and gratitude for your service.

In loving memories of Paul went he lived at home we did lots of things together he taunt me how to ride a bike and got me into lots of trouble to but he was a great bother I'll miss him
