On November 16, 2004, PAUL JOSEPH; beloved husband of the late Margie Beste-Russell; devoted father of Arianna Marie and Katelin Marie Russell; beloved son of the late Leroy T. and Doris M. Russell; dear brother of Thomas and Timothy Russell and Mary C. Shields; dear brother-in-law of Verna L. Russell, Michael A. Shields, Amy Kirkpatrick, Jason and Susan Cole Beste; dear uncle of Christopher and Casey Shields, Kelsey and Eric Russell, Griffin and Colton Beste, Tyler and Kyle Kirkpatrick; dear son-in-law of Juergen and Gisela Beste. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Road (at Route 24) on Thursday and Friday, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M., with a Vigil Service on Friday at 4 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Frances deSales Church, on Saturday, at 10 A.M. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.

Im just righting to you to let you know i miss you.. letting you know things arent the same without you here, you where like my second dad. All the talks we had. You would always lead me in the right direct, i could always depend on you for everything and you would always be there for me helping me through everything. You where someone very special to me in my life... but somoene so special i never thought i would of had to let go, i know when im swimming though im not alone without u.. i know your right there by my side cheering me on:) all the cookout with crabs we had in the summer.. the pool parties, they will never be forgotten our families have had to many moments to share that would last a lifetime... you will always be in my heart and i promise you little beautiful girls that i love and adore will always be here right by my side, i love them to death as if they where my own sisters i will look out for them, i love you and i miss you... merry christmas... give mrs margie a big hug and kiss for me.. i love you

I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT I MISS YOU AND THAT YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS. I HOPE YOU ALL ARE HAVING FUN IN HEAVEN. WHEN WE WENT TO YOUR FUNERAL I WAS CRYING THE WHOLE TIME. I WANTED PEOPLE TO FEEL SORRY FOR ME BUT THEN I REALIZED THAT I DIDN'T LOSE MY DAD OR FAMILY BUT I LOST A GOOD FRIEND.

WHEN MY MOM'S DAD DIED YOU WERE THERE TO SUPPORT HER AND YOU KNEW HOW IT FELT. YOU LOST YOU WIFE AND TO MY MOM, SHE LOST A VERY GOOD FRIEND. YOU GAVE MY SISTER ADVICE ON HER EDUCATION AND YOU TOOK US TO SWIMM PRATICE AND LET US GETAWAY W/ WRONG STROKES AND YOU WERE ALLWAYZ CHEERING US ON AND YOU WERE STILL HAPPY WHEN WE DIDN'T WIN. I wonder why you had to leave so soon. I never had the chance to say goodbye. I will miss the great times at the pool and swim team. I can't imagine being an official without you. It just won't be the same. You have such a special spirit and I appreciate the friendship we shared. You never judged me, always listened to me, and saw the good in everyone. No one will ever take your place, because your are SPECIAL in every way. You left behind life's greatest gift, those beautiful girls. I know how much you loved and adored them. Likewise, I know. I want to share with them all that I can. Graduation, going to their wedding, seeing their brand new babies. Please know you are gone but never forgotten. I know the loss to you and your family seems insurmountable right now. Having lost my brother and father this past year I know how I felt during those times.
