There was not an opportunity to talk about Paul at his funeral today but if there was this is what I would have liked to say:
I started working with Paul Schaefer in 1980 working in a small room in the basement of his house. Bonnie Ronaghan joined us shortly after that and she remembers us sharing a phone and she would have to pass it back and forth between us. Paul drove me a little crazy for the next 15 years and I know I drove him a lot crazy during those 15 years but he taught me...

Mrs. Schaefer, Patti and Maria: My heart goes out to you at this time of great loss. Mr. Schaefer my Godfather, my friend and my inspiration will be missed! It was always a joy to be with your family and I will cherish those times. I am so sorry I could not be there to show my support but you know he would understand.
