Not sure what to say?

It has been 11 years since my Dad passed away. I want to clarify something that has come up through the years. My father did not have Alzheimer´s disease, he died of a massive heart attack. It was my mother, Mary, who was afflicted with Alzheimer´s and in the spirit of my father, who was always helping others, it was a fitting tribute that memorials were sent to the Alzheimer´s association since he passed before my mother, who died in 2014. May they rest in peace and blessings to all.

I will always remember Buzz and Mary and the times I spent with them when I visited my grandparents in Carefree. Buzz was a true friend to my grandfather, Harvey Vogel.

A memorial service in Minnesota for "Buzz" will be held Thursday, June 6, 1:30 p.m. at the Midland Hills Club, 2001 Fulham Street, Roseville, MN 55113.

I miss my cousin. He was a great friend . we always had great times together, along with Hugh, his brother. It seems to me the three of us, would do many things together. either at Mille Lacs, the MN state fair, or St. Anthony Park. Their sister, Jean, passed away about the same time. All the Schilling kids were part "Kehne" , Their mom was a kehne. One of my dad's sisters.

With memories of good times with you and Jim.

A longtime, good family friend...our hearts are saddened by Buzz' passing. The entire Campbell clan sends its deepest, heartfelt sympathies.

I am grateful for an opportunity to speak of Buzz on behalf of my beloved grandparents, Harvey and Ardis Vogel, who had been very close to Buzz and Mary for years, since they lived in St. Paul. In Arizona they belonged to the same golf clubs (Desert Forest in Carefree and Forest Highlands in Flagstaff), had several friends in common, enjoyed attending parties, taking trips together, etc. When my grandfather became too weak to leave the house Buzz came to visit him often. I have known several...

Buzz was a member of Desert Hills Presbyterian Church when I was the pastor. He and Mary were people that pastors would give their eye teeth to have: positive, happy, cordial, generous, supportive. What's not to like in that list of qualities? It was always FUN to be around Buzz! He was always laughing, always joking, always happy. He did not have a tremendous ego, although with his talents he could have. He was extraordinarily generous, and our church among many other charitable...

Buzz, you were truly a great cowboy. You were one of the founders of the "Carefree Rancheros" which brought such fun and laughter to so many of your fellow Rancheros, me included. Can see you now sitting on a rock, next to your horse with a cocktail, holding court and telling all of us young riders how the Carefree ride got started. You were truly a gentleman and I was lucky to know you.
Happy Trails,
