Joe was my good friend starting with 6th grade at St. Peter's School in Chillicothe, and throughout high school at the former Catholic Central High School. Joe was an avid ham operator, and got me hooked in the hobby as well. We entered the US Army at the same time, Joe went to Korea, and I went to Germany. Joe and I were travelling companions - in 1961 we drove to Key West, Florida, and to the Seattle World's Fair in 1962. We met many times over the intervening years, at our CCHS class...
