Not sure what to say?

My condolences to you Marilyn and family. He was a nice man. May you Rest In Peace.

I was fortunate enough to teach with Paul in the math department at VHS. My greatest memories of Paul involve his great sense of humor. On the surface he seemed very "old school" and conservative. But in reality, he had a devilish side that could come up with some real zingers. He was a terrific teacher, coach, colleague, and friend.

Marilyn, I don't know if you even remember me, but I do you from long ago with our Bible study and Maudy Williams. I also know Kim - her family connection. I am so sorry to read of the passing of Paul. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless, Jane Cornette-Smeed

A true gentleman in every sense of the word.

I never had Paul as a teacher, but I did have him as a coach several times. He was an institution at the 'Burg. FYI, he was on the same football team at Muskegon as pro quarterback Earl Morrall.

Adding my condolences to the many who were influenced by Paul Schutter in the classroom, church and community. He was one of the kindest teachers I knew.

I had Mr Schutter as a teacher, golf coach and football coach for 4 years. Even after graduation I continued to see him and play against him in the Vicksburg Men's league. We even had very similar Corvettes for a period of time and we would talk cars. He was an honest and good man, a good coach and a good teacher! I learned a lot from him on and off the field. Rest in peace, my friend, you deserve it.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Sending condolences to Kim and family
