Paul Smith, age 70 was born on April 6, 1951 departed this life on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Paul attended Magnolia High School and was a graduate of Southern University. He was an Army National Guard Veteran. He also was an employee of Comfort Engineered Systems, Inc. and a Deacon and Choir member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Paul was the son of the late Rosemary Z. Smith and Murry Smith. He was survived by Brother Johnson Smith, 5 nieces & nephews Dimitrius Dumas (Harvey), Devinne King (Stephaine), Desiree Allison (Reggie), Mary J. King Wilkerson and Gerald King (Nicole). Also survived by a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by 1 sister Betty A. King; 1 brother Phillip Smith; 3 grand parents Matilda Zeno, George Zeno and Rebecca Smith; and 2 god parents Marion Cotton and George Joseph. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at First Evangelist Missionary Baptist Church, 1801 Willow Street at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment First Baptist Church Cemetery-Vacherie, LA. Paul was the definition of a true friend, he never made anyone feel inadequate or mistreated anyone. He was a hard worker and always would lend a helping hand and always was willing to teach a young guy new ways of doing things. He was a great influence in my life and I´ll always cherish his friendship.

May his soul rest in peace.

Paul was the consummate team player. His smile was infectious and he made everyone around him a better person. Paul was life. He never let a negative event change his positive outlook. Paul was an inspiration to all of us and we will dearly miss him. He will be in our thoughts and prayers eternally.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

May the Special Memories of Paul linger with you all forever. He was a special person to many of us. He will be missed by everyone
