Not sure what to say?

Mr. Spaniola truly was a man for the ages. His life was full of interesting events, historical happenings & he had a lot of people in the Flint area who were dear friends. His shop downtown Flint was a smoker's haven that was imbued with the fragrances of many kinds of tobacco. We read of his smoking contests with C. S. Mott. They are both long passed on, but fondly remembered.

Dear Spaniola Family, When I think of Paul I can't recall someone else I have known that was so enjoyed and liked like Paul was. He was such a great man and with a huge heart to help others. Many words could be used to describe him, I'm sure many of them are true, I never met anyone like him before. Everyone liked Paul and have fond memories of him and the pipe shop. He made it to the big 100, now he can go upstairs and watch over all of us. God Bless my Friend

Nora and family, May God wrap his arms around each and every one of you during this difficult time.

I will always remember Mr. Spaniola. He treated me as family even though I was only his son Carl's best friend. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time. I have so many wonderful memories working at the store and at the Saginaw fair. Prayers for all of his wonderful family.

Some of the best days of my life, were spent in Paul's pipe shop.

To the family of Paul Spaniola,
What a special person he was & I shall long remember talking to him at Crossroads Village. While demonstrating an old craft there many years ago, we spoke about the history of that place. He then told me that the very building we were in was where he voted for the first time for the President of the U.S.A. I regret that I cannot recall who it was. He was such an interesting person on so many levels & was dearly loved by the people of this area. God bless...

To the many friends and family of Mr. Spaniola:

My heart is heavy with the news of Paul's passing. Earlier this month I stopped into the store while visiting Flint.

On behalf of my late uncle (Jerry Pavelich) I wish to "thank you" for the genuine kindness Mr. Spaniola showed me and Jerry over the years. My uncle took great delight in buying his weekly lottery tickets at the pipe shop. So when I stopped by a few weeks ago, I bought some in my uncles memory. Sorry to report...NO...

The Sons of Italy Family is sorry to hear about Paul's passing. He will always be in our prayers. He was a good member of the Sons of Italy. We have many fond memories of his involvement with us. God bless him and the whole Spaniola family. Albert Macciomei, President SOI

sentite condoglianze alla famiglia di Spaniola.

We extend to you the words of comfort of our people: "May you be consoled among the mourners of Jerusalem, may his soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life, may the Lord be his portion, and may his memory be for a blessing."
