Paul Dennis Stegall

I join with Richard Evans in extending my sympathies to the Stegall family. As President of the UT Arboretum Society, we strive to help the University sustain this venue for the enjoyment of all, as it obviously was to Mr. Stegall. Thank you for your consideration of the UT Arboretum as a recipient of Memorial Gifts in the name of Paul D. Stegall.

I am deeply saddened to hear my old friend, Dennis Stegall, has passed away. I had many wonderful, crazy and semi-dangerous adventures with Dennis and David during our time together in Oak Ridge. I will always remember him as a kind hearted and even tempered boy who loved life.

I am deeply, deeply sorry for your loss and, we at the UT Arboretum extend our sympathy to all the Stegall family. I am overwhelmed and moved by your consideration of the UT Arboretum as recipients of Memorial Gifts in the name of Paul D. Stegall. As Director of the UT Arboretum I've experienced several moving moments of this nature however, with each occasion I solemnly reflect on what the Arboretum has obviously meant to so many people. Thank you and please accept my condolences.

I only met the man once and he made me feel like an old friend.
