Paul Emerson Steiger

Paul was a board member at Cayuga Medical Center during my tenure as CEO. A wise and trusted advisor and a good friend to both CMC and me. Was able to catch up with him for lunch a few times since my return to Ithaca, and we were planning anotherI'm sorry I didn't have another opportunity to tell him how much I appreciated his friendship. Taryn and Family. I'm wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. I'm very sorry for your loss. I only had the opportunity to know Paul for a short time, but every time, he always made me feel welcome and important.

Paul was my first boss in Agway in 1978 - he was a great person to work for and always strived to get the best benefits and working conditions for every employee - he epitomized the meaning of "workaholic" and I still remember trying to transcribe cassette tapes he recorded on his daily commute from Ithaca to Syracuse and back. I'm sure he will be sorely missed - Rest in Peace.

Our deepest condolences to the family. Even though we only knew Mr. Steiger for a brief time, he was a wonderful man and neighboring landlord. His presence on Buffalo Street will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear as I know how close you and your dad were . Many special memories .... I am sure you will "old dear" the trip you and took to Europe a few years ago. He will always be with you , guiding and inspiring you . His voice will continue as always...
