Mr. Summers was an incredible man. He hired my father in 1971 and was the boss my father always looked up to as a role model. His professional support of his employees and their families was something all of us remember so fondly. The friendship that existed past both Paul's and Jerry's retirements meant a great deal to my father. Paul was my 7th and 8th grade teacher at Panama school in 1961-63. He was one of the best teachers I ever had and helped me appreciate my schooling even more. He had been a great friend ever since and we have done many things together. I have had other students tell me as well as to how he had helped them. I later worked for Paul for many years. Mr. Summers was my 7th-8th grade science teacher at Panama Junior High (1962-64). He was one of the most influential teachers I ever had in my lifetime.
