Doctor Swerdlow is a brilliant person who taught me a lot. He had a way of visually explaining things that always leave you with a better understanding and sometimes added fun facts in there too! He is a one of a kind legend who will surely be missed!

I was a patient of Dr. Swerdlow from 1998 - 2006 I believe. He was one of few Doctors that really seem to care about us Sicklers; seeing that was his primary area of care I guess he should have! Very smart And knowledgeable about S.C. Disease and also quite funny. I just learned about his passing today 5/10/21 and was really sad to learn it was on my birthday 4/11/21. He was a wonderful and caring Doctor. I was his Sickle Cell patient for years. I will miss him.
