Paul Francis Symes Jr.

Paul Francis Symes Jr., age 57, of Florence, died Saturday, April 16, 2005.

A Native of Concord, Mass., Paul was a Carpenter with Tyon Construction Company. He was a decorated Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. Paul was awarded 6 Purple Hearts, Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Air Medal with Two Oakleaf Clusters, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal, for his honorable service to his country. Paul also was a member of the V.F.W.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Symes; sons, Stephen Mills, Christopher Symes, Robert Mills, Richard Mills, and Robert Dryburgh; daughters, Paula Mills Treat and Mandy Dryburgh; brothers, Richard Symes, Thomas Symes, and Jack Symes; sisters, Nancy Symes and Sue Ann Ward; and grandchildren, Samantha Dryburgh, Richie Dryburgh, John Treat, Jackie Williams, Levi Mills, Danielle Mills and Cody Mills.
