Not sure what to say?

Mr. Torpey was gentle man. I did know he had passed away. He was smart and very knowledgeable. I love the way he use to sway across the library. I called him John Wayne. He like it. He got a kick out of it. The last time I saw him was after a car accident he had. And he had been in recovery for over a year. He was having having Chinese food, and we converted for an hour trying to catch. I'm not happy he gone. But I'm happy that I shared that last moment with him. Because he was happy.

Paul was my Supervisor at the New Carrollton Library. I learned alot about public service from him. He was a good man. He is missed.

Mr. Paul lived in our community 40 years. I would always see him going to get his morning coffee. He will be missed.

Paul Torpey was a dedicated public librarian, a caring supervisor and
friend. He combined a love of books with determination to fill the patron's need for information. We met occasionally as retirees to discuss the library system's progress. I'll miss him.

I worked with Mr Torpey at the New Carrollton Library. I called him Mr. T.He was always willing to talk with you and listen to you. Mr.Torpey sent me and my family many holiday cards. He never missed a holiday. He sent some of the most beautiful cards. As a matter of fact, I still have the easter card in my living room he sent me last year. I will miss him as I am sure many others will. He left us with many good memories.

I worked with Mr. Torpey at New Carrollton Library. We had wonderful talks about any and everything. I especially enjoyed the German chocolate cakes and shrimp he would bring to the various parties at New Carrollton. He was a joy to be around and will be missed. Mary Anderson
