Not sure what to say?

When I was finally starting my 'professional costume design' dreams in High School in 1972, Paul's organization was still welcoming custom fabrics, and single orders! People remember the iconic surf relationships but I raise a CHEER for Paul having the patience, and JOY, to share in the Hollywood Glam Rock movement, and many a super famous global Rock musician were proud to wear Hi-Top, one-of-a-kind fancy sneakers, he made for our store in L.A. and beyond... Now you can hang-out with so many...

My condolences go out to the Van Doren family. Paul will be missed by many.

Many prayers and thanks to the Van Doren family, so many benefited from your creativity and hard work. May God be with all of you.

Such an amazing and innovative designer. Sincere sympathies to the Van Doren family and friends, sorry for your loss. May God be with you all at this very difficult time of your loss.

I can remember when shoes sold for the price the Vans sold for. A great business! To the family I'm sorry for your loss. May God grant you peace.

To the Van Doren Family,
My family sends our Love and Condolences. What a wonderful life and accomplishments Paul made in his life but best of all was the wonderful human he was and he was always pleasant to be around back in the Anaheim days. I’m sure heaven has been updated on the later creations as now James, Gordy, and Paul are there to rest in Vans style.
Love and Peace

With sympathy and condolences to the Van Doran family and close friends. May God who comforts us in all our trials be a refuge and a strength during this extremely difficult time.

One of my favorite sneakers!
My sincere condolences to the Van Doren family. May the God of all comfort provide you all the strength to cope with your loss

I send my sincere condolences to Paul's family as well as to his numerous fans. His popular quote "Do what's right ........" still resonates with a lot of people today. It echoes what is written in the scriptures "Happy are those who act with justice, who always do what is right" (Psalms 106:3).
