Dear Marlene and Bruce, We've only just learned today, 15 years later, that you lost your beautiful Paul Christmas Eve in 2008. I'm shocked at this horrendous news. We share the same deep, heartbreak and scars of losing a son. We know he was on loan from God and our faith keeps you filled with the gratitude of having his love for the time that the Lord allowed. It's still there, only from Heaven. Our love, Joe and Joy Zimmer

Dear Bruce, Marlene and Family,
We just heard about Paul's untimely death last night (Jan. 24) and just want you to know how sorry we are. Life is so fragile, we need to treasure each breath we take and have time to appreciate each other and all the facets that make each of us the person that we are. Paul was unique in his own way and brought joy to those he met. He lived a lot in his short life.
Our love and sympathy to all of you,
Marilyn and Mark Dues

I always loved hearing Paul play guitar outside Brockman, his Freshman year with friends. He was such a kind, caring, and of course, humorous person! I am so sorry for your loss and I know everyone will miss him so much...

To Those Who Love Paul,
I just returned from out of the country to hear the news. So sorry. I know the grieving process is long and hard so wanted to send my wishes to you for peace and treasured memories especially of his laugh. I went to Xavier University with Paul. Hang in there and take care of yourself!

Marlene,
I am so very sorry to hear about Paul's death. I heard the news today (so late, I am so sorry) from another St. X Mom. I know quite keenly the special love you had with your son and can only guess at how much he will be missed. You and I shared the experience of being a St. X and Xavier mother. Please know you and your entire family are in my prayers.
In friendship,
Kitty Wagner

I'm so sorry for your loss. When I think of Paul, I remember how he and Scott Wilson played when they were neighbors on Guam. I remember how animated they were one day when they were trying to see if geckos could swim. I don't remember if their chosen gecko did swim but I do remember how much fun those 2 boys had together!
