Not sure what to say?

I am always remembering Paul........we became "cousins" on the first day of our Sophomore year of High School in Mr. Gratsch's biology Class! I am going to click"family" below because that is how I have always felt about Paul. Aloha, Janis Bell Bush

I came across this site when I Googled Mr. Via to see if he was still teaching somewhere. Mr. Via was my fifth grade teacher at Susan B. Anthony back in 1982. He was a good teacher and a very fair and decent person. I remember when he brought one of his babies to class one day... even at that age I could tell he was in love. I also remember when he beat the other fifth grade teacher, Mr. Johnson(who was a bit of a showboat) in a softball throw how happy the class was. I told Mr. Via you...

I was very sorry to hear about Paul's passing today. He was a wonderful teacher, & a good Christian to know.
My condolences to Paul's family in this time of sorrow.

Dearest Valerie, Jette and Bryan,
My deepest condolences to all of you during this extemely difficult time. I wish you much strength during this time, but please know you all have touched many hearts and Paul will be missed dearly. You all hold a very special place in my heart!

We will always love him and consider him a primary intercessor in heaven. He was a wonderfully strong, Christian man, kind and true.

Paul was a wonderful teacher, but most of all, a man who I could call a friend.

SAHS Senior Honors English Class

Paul and I were hanai (unofficial) cousins. We met the first day of our sophomore year in high school but had really known each other forever as our families of origin were long tied together through a fraternal organization. Thinking of Paul only brings smiles and laughter to my heart. So glad Kathy and I went to see him last summer when I was in CA from Hawaii. I adored Paul Via from the moment I met him and will love him forever! Me ke aloha, Janis Bell Bush, Kailua, Hawaii

I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I worked with him years ago at Susan B. Anthony School in Westminster. He was a very pleasant person to be around. He always had a smile on his face and was so kind to everyone on the staff. I particularly remember a retirement party for Jane Martin and Paul was there with his girl friend,Valerie. She was to become his wife. We were all excited for him. They were a lovely couple. He then went on to teach at Irvine Junior High. We were sorry to...

A wonderful tribute to a beautiful person. We will miss him having him a part of our lives this side of heaven.
