PAUL VOLCKER

In 1983 as a 25 year old African-American female employee at the Federal Reserve Board, I received a special achievement award for my work. I was not a high level employee, but along with 11 other employees, I had the honor of having lunch with Paul Volcker. I think we all pinched ourselves at the prospect of actually having lunch with the chairman who everyone referred to as "Tall Paul".
