Not sure what to say?

I can’t believe it’s truly you. I’ve thought about you so much over the years to find out you’re no longer here to thank. Paul , I appreciate all your effort to help a troubled teen at PEP group home on the west side . It was right around the time you were getting married and I remember it being a big ordeal even now cause of the sheer magnitude of people that were attending etc You were always kind and thoughtful and I remember watching hoop dreams with you then going in the back and playing...

Wow, I had no idea. I just saw it on Cedric Thomas's Facebook page. I met Paul at The University of Cincinnati. I grew up around Cedric Thomas in Cleveland and ended up going to college at UC. I met Paul down there. I wanted to pledge at the time, but I ended up moving back to Cleveland. Paul was a great guy. Truly a tragedy.

I just found out about Paul's untimely death and am truly saddened because Paul was a tremendous person who truly embraced his profession and believed in what he did! I remember him back in 1997 when he was an assistant for PEP (Positive Education Program) at one of their educational centers. May he eternally rest with the angels and may his family be graced with God's blessing.

The Most Noble Paul Ward epitomized the word friend... he understood that word the same way that Jesus understood it... becoming a friend to someone within the understanding, that it is about LOVE...I learned from him more how to refine the friendship that I give out each day... yea, I learned from the MOST NOBLE PAUL WARD...how to be a better friend.

To the Ward Family:
These thoughts reach you from our hearts, with loving memories of a wonderful man who cared for not only his children but all young people. He touched so many students and parents alike that his legacy will live on and on. He gave of himself so freely he surely was an anointed soul knowing his reward would come from above. He will be missed but never forgotten. Many parents owe much to this awesome teacher.

Take solace in knowing he is with his heavenly father.

Paul was a very special man, who dedicated his time to many people and situations, while still being a family man, .He will be greatly missed, however his legacy will live on for many years to come. My family send their condolences and love to you. You are in my heart forever, I will love you always. Your great auntie Diane.

Dear Family: So sorry for your unexpected loss of a high school sweetheart, a loving father, a devoted son, cherished relative and friend too soon. God sees your tears and feels your pain. Throw all your anxieties on the Lord because he cares for you. Deepest sympathy.
