Not sure what to say?

I'm not very good at the internet, as shown by the fact I tried to send a condolence, but lost it.
As a child at St. Stephen's in Portland, I recall my awe of Borther Paul as an imposing, yet friendly, person in monk's clothing. He was awesome! As I (and he) grew older, the impression changed only slightly. When he visited from the East Coast, he was still impressive, but friendly. In fact, I believe he was responsible for bringing kegs of Weinhard's beer to our annual picnic. One...

I was a very young girl when Father Wessinger came to our church, St. John's Episcopal Church, in Bandon, OR. He was a beloved priest to many in our little community, and I have vivid and fond memories of him and his wonderful sermons. Even at such a young age, his sermons made an everlasting impression upon me. My heartfelt condolences to his family and dear friends in Christ.

I first met Fr. Paul in 1993 when I made my first (Episcopal/Anglican) Retreat at the St. John’s House in Durham, NC. Bro. Eldredge was my director and the retreat was wonderful, profound and transforming in many ways. I met Bro. Paul and enjoyed our brief conversations. St. John’s House was closed a year later and the NC Brothers returned to Cambridge, MA. 1995 I became a member of the Fellowship of St. John, and over the years I enjoyed visiting and seeing the Bro. Paul. As a fellow...

My condolences go to the Brothers of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist and Paul's family and friends. I only got to meet Br. Paul a few times up at the monastery, but each time I met him I was so touched at his kindness and love for me- as stranger. He was such kind and a very dear man. All who loved him are in my prayers. May all be comforted to know that Paul is with his Lord whom he loved so much.

The Orloff family extends its condolences to the Wessingers upon the death of The Rev. Paul Wessinger. While we didn't know Rev. Wessinger personally, we have long known his brothers and other family members. Paul's was a long and productive life, for which we all can be grateful.

Warmest regards,

Jan, Chet, and Wendy ORLOFF

Fare well, Brother Paul! You were always an ambassador from the angels on Earth, whether in rich conversation, tending your beautiful gardens or baking your wonderful breads. You will be missed in these mortal realms, dear Friend of Creation.

May you be launched in fair weather,
with the wind at your back
and the shining stars streaming you through
