Paul P. Wetherbee, Sr

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mr. Wetherbee. I have fond childhood memories of him delivering the mail, mowing the lawn, or throwing a ball; always with a wave and a cheery smile! In my mind, he was always the role model for a postal carrier, just like I always read about in in the elementary school readers. I suppose in the back of my mind, he has always been the standard by which I have graded all other carriers, since. He was a great neighbor and a great family friend...

I rember playing basketball with tall Paul. Our thoughts are to his family.

My parents, Linda & Gary Hanes and I send our love and sympathy to all of you upon the loss of Paul. You were great neighbors to us on Giles Street. Paul was my icon of the perfect mailman when I was growing up in River Park. Love to you all and know that you are in our hearts during this most difficult time.

Barbara and family....my heartfelt sympathy to you all. Paul has been a friend since we were boys playing on the Pinners Point playground, and we worked together for 18+ years at the Post Office. Paul was dedicated to his work and a joy to be around..God Bless.

My memories of Uncle Paul only involve what I have heard. During my teenage years when I actively played basketball, I was reminded by my Mom that Uncle Paul loved to play basketball. Wish I could have seen him play! We send our thoughts and prayers. Only our God can bring true peace and comfort during times of grief and the pain brought by separation from our loved ones. May He be your strength and peace during these difficult days.

My childhood memory of Uncle Paul is that he always took the time to play ball with his younger cousins (the Wetherbee girls--Ruth, Joan, and Anne) whenever we came for a visit, usually on the weekends at his home on Southern Avenue.
