Paul A. Wilber
Paul A. Wilber, age 49 of Keshena, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday April 24th, 2013 at his home. He was born on May 5th, 1963 in Appleton to Sylvia (Otradovec) and the late David H. Wilber. Sr. Paul was a member of the 1981 graduating class of Shawano High School. Paul was employed as a logger on the Menominee Reservation working first with Dave Wilber Logging and more recently with other logging contractors. Paul was an outstanding sawyer and skidder operator who loved the woods. He also worked as an independent roofing contractor, at the Wolf River Trading Post and the Menominee Supermarket. He is further survived by: nieces and nephews, Dacey Wilber, Britney DeLeon, Bryan Lepscier, Jr., Destiny Lepscier, Justin Lepscier, Joseph Kaquatosh, Megan Wilber, Andrew Wilber, Haley Wilber; great nieces and nephews; aunts; uncles; and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by: his father, David Wilber Sr.; his sister, Pam Wilber; his brothers, Joe Wilber and Mark Wilber; and his nephew, Corey Podnar.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David Barrett and Deacon Tom Hartman officiating. Friends may call after 1pm on Thursday, April 24, 2013 at the David and Sylvia Wilber Residence at W112 S.E. Bass Lake Road, Gillett (on the Menominee Reservation) and again at 9:30am on Saturday at the church in Keshena. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7pm on Friday at the Wilber residence. Paul will be laid to rest in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Keshena next to his dad, his brothers and his sister. The Swedberg Funeral Home of Shawano is assisting the family with arrangements.
