Paul W. Witman

First met PW my freshman year of wrestling. The freshman team was not going to practice over Christmas break so we were invited to join the varsity and jv's practice. The show Kung Fo was very popular at the time. So I show up to the varsity practice wearing Chinese bath robe with dragons drawn on my fore arms just like Kung Fo. I think I made a memorable impression on PW, and that was just the start.

My thoughts and condolences to the Witman family. Coach Witman was my gym teacher and soccer coach at HHS back in the 1990s. He was always passionate and committed to helping his student athletes develop and learn life lessons. He demanded hard work, sportsmanship and being a good teammate and leader. He set high standards and used his dry sense of humor to motivate his teams. Please know that he had a positive impact on thousands of student athletes.

We are so very sorry to hear about Paul and Donna Mae. They were amazing friends. We were lucky to spend 45 days with them on an unforgettable RV trip and stayed in touch ever since. For their family please know that they had a positive impact in so many peoples lives. We will miss them.

My sincere condolences to Paul´s children and relatives. Paul and I were college roommates and longtime friends. Our families were "neighbors" when we lived in Williamsville, NY. I am so sad not only to hear of his passing, but also our friend, Donna Mae.
