I had the great pleasure of hearing her speak at two ECE conference some years ago and several of her leadership books graced my professional bookshelves for many decades. She was an inspiration, a visionary and a champion in my field. I was introduced to Paula more than 8 years ago when I was diagnosed with the same cancer. Our surgeon thought it would be good for me to talk to her.

He was right, paula gave me strength and hope when I had none and was sure that the worst would happen to me.

I spoke with her on the phone many times and first got to meet her when she visited me in the hospital.

Dr. Paula Jorde Bloom, age 70, died peacefully in her home on February 17th. after living with cancer for over 18 years.
