Paula J. Davis

March 3, 1955-Feb. 25, 2024

Paula Joanne Johnson Davis passed away Feb. 23rd at the age of 68.

Born March 3, 1955, she was the daughter of Paul “Shorty” Johnson and Lu Johnson.  She had 38 years of loving marriage to Mike Davis.  Together, they had two daughters, Emily Dombrosky and Bailey Hally.  She was a proud grandmother to two grandchildren, Evelyn and Lincoln Dombrosky and four granddogs.

Paula was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and an overall joy to everyone lucky enough to know her.  She was a wonderful cook, beach lover and purse/shoe enthusiast, but most of all, she was loved and will be missed by those who knew her.

Survivors include: husband, Michael Davis; two daughters, Emily (Nick) Dombrosky and Bailey (Jake) Hally; mother, Lulabelle Johnson; two sisters, Pam Clements, Sally (Danny) Ross; father-in-law, Fred (Twylo) Davis; three brothers-in-law, Mark (Pam) Davis, Mitch (Julie) Davis and Matt Davis; sister-in-law, Marianne (Tim) Light, two grandchildren, Evelyn and Lincoln, along with multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul “Shorty” Johnson and mother-in-law, Doris Davis.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.

Donations may be made in memory of Paula Davis to the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, 1104 Big Four Arch Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.

Not sure what to say?

She was a friend, mentor and a room-mate years ago. I loved her family, Lu, Shorty, Pam and Sally. Many good, memories of camping and swimming at her parent's house in the woods. As always, fun and outdoor cooking. Fun for all. Then a perfect
match, Mike and Paula. Some of my best memories include them both. She will be deeply missed.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. My deepest condolences to Paula’s family and loved ones.

I am so very sorry Mike, Emily and Bailey for your loss including all the family!
Prayers and peace be with all of you in this very difficult time!❤

We Love you All, and hearts are breaking. Paula will be so missed, her voice, her beauty inside and out. We are here for you whatever you need. XO

Mike my heart is broken for you and the girls!

Prayers & hugs

Lulabelle and Pam - so sorry to read of Paula's passing. Many memories from our younger days. Ironically I was just thinking of you all recently. Sounds like Paula lived up to her potential. Sometimes life just doesn't seem fair. Thinking of you and your families.

Bill and I are so sorry to read this today. Our hearts go out to Mike and the entire family. God Bless all of you.

Paula was a great friend in the class of '73. She was my roller skating buddy. So many laughs. The kind of laughter that made you cry. My deepest sympathy to her family and many friends. Peace & love (*
