I just learned of Kay's passing today when I went by the shop to have a button sewn on and found it closed. I inquired with John McMillan the barber next door and he told me the news. I was shocked: I knew she had battled illness, but still, you never think when you step into a shop that it will be the last time you see someone. Kay was always very sweet and cheerful, and, although busy, would pass the time of day with you, often while continuing at her work through the window at the back...

We are sorry for your loss. I enjoyed stopping into the shop every morning and talking with kay she always gave me wonderful advice. Momma bear will truly be missed

So, so sorry for your loss. Kay was such a wonderful person. I always enjoyed going into her shop for alterations. She was always so nice. She will be missed by many, and remembered fondly.

So very sorry to hear this. I knew Kay from friends in Parchment and I frequently over the years hired her services at the tailor shop. She was always such a sweet upbeat lady. Deepest sympathy to her family.
