Paula Marie Lizotte, age 62, of Indian Orchard, MA passed away Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 after a long illness. She is survived by her beloved Husband of 16 years, Jack Szalkiewicz, daughters, Leonne Vieu of South Hadley, Samantha LaPierre and husband Joey, of Southampton, Grandchildren, Trevor, Emma, Leah, Lilly and Aidan; Brothers, Philip & wife Gail and Jonathan & wife Stephanie of Palm Coast, FL.  Preceding her in death were her parents Leonne and Philip.


She will also be greatly missed by her nieces, Ashley Lizotte of Green Bay, WI, Stella Talkie & husband Trevor of Tampa, FL, Meghan Lizotte of Brooklyn, NY and her nephews Marty Lizotte & wife Lital of Palm Coast FL, and Cameron Lizotte of Palm Coast, FL


Paula grew up in Easthampton, MA where she attended Schools. She loved to write poetry and crochet and spent many hours perfecting her craft. Her many creations are cherished by her family and used daily. Paula’s many cruises with Jack were a source of great joy and many fond memories. Her positive attitude and never quit determination were a great example for her family to follow. She will be missed by her cats, Garfield and Lady.


Visitation will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street South Hadley, MA on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.


The funeral will be at 9:00 am Tuesday May 10, followed by a funeral mass at St. Theresa’s Church, South Hadley, MA. Internment will be at Evergreen cemetery, South Hadley. MA

Paula meant so much to so many people at Amherst College. Her infectious laugh and kind demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone that worked with her. She will always be missed by everyone who knew her here at Amherst College. Sending Jack and all of her family our thoughts today and everyday.
