Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

SPALL, Paulette – Of Burton, age 71, died Monday, September 16, 2024.


Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Father Roy Horning officiating.


Cremation will take place following the funeral service, burial of Cremains at Evergreen Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.


Visitation 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.


Paulette was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on December 9, 1952, the daughter of the late Paul and Arelene (McKie) Bergeron.


On May 1, 1976 she married Hollis “Pete” Spall at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.


Paulette worked at Starlite Coney Island for 40+ years.


She was a devoted mother and grandma; watching her grandchildren and grand-nieces for years.


She enjoyed Bingo, puzzles, reading, baking, enjoyed Sunday Mass and was a member of Holy Rosary, where she volunteered on the Parish Council.


Surviving are children, Angela (Patrick) Peacock and Troy (Alaina McKay) Spall;


grandchildren, Kaylee and Tyler Peacock, Lilly, Ariah and Kambri Spall;


siblings, Randy Bergeron, Daryl (Sue) Bergeron, Deena (Don) King, Barry (Carol) Bergeron, Brenda (Keith) Wagner and Heidi (Brian) Vanderkarr;


sister-in-law, Polly Bergeron;


many nieces and nephews; best friend, Michelle Dillard and partner in crime, Lynn Pender.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis and brother, Lonnie.

So sad to hear you have lost your sister, mom, and grandma. Jim and I are praying for your family. May your thoughts and memories of her help to ease the pain of her loss. Your cousins Jim and Sharon Whitson (Pekala).

Was very sad to learn of Paulette's passing. I always knew her to be compassionate, caring, and kind whenever I saw / interacted with her.

Your Savoie cousins / extended family are with you during this difficult time. May your faith in God's love for us all, provide you with the strength you need. I will pray for you to be especially blessed with His love at this time.

To the entire Burgeron and Spall family please accept my sincere condolances and know my prayers are with her and all of you. The news of her passing truly saddened me and she will be dearly missed by many including myself. Paulette always had a very kind heart and she had an infectious giggle that would make anyone laugh if you heard it. I can actually hear it now as I am typing this which is making me smile.
