Not sure what to say?

Ms Gilson as we called her in 7th grade was that teacher I will always remember fondly. She encouraged me to write and be myself. She showed grace, a calming demeanor and a very subtle sense of humor. I loved her dearly. May her family find comfort in knowing how much their mother was admired and loved.

So sorry to hear of the passing of one of my favorite teachers. I was in Mrs. Anderson's drama class at Portsmouth Middle School back in the early 70's. I am still acting, and can trace my love of theater back to her training and encouragement. After our plays she would invite the whole cast over to her beautiful home in NE Portland, feed us, chat with our parents, and make us feel like we were part of her extended family. She was one-of-a-kind.

Continued thoughts and prayers for all the family. She left a wonderful legacy. We have been blessed to have known her.

We feel with you, and are impressed by Pauline' life.

Pauline and Lloyd Anderson were premier leaders in Portlands golden age . They were also great human beings.

Pauline was a remarkable woman without a doubt. My memories of her are celebratory and delightful, for her story is a life so very well lived. I am grateful to have known her. To her family my deepest sympathy.

Linnea and family, your mom was a remarkable woman, I'm sure you will miss her often.

Pauline was a wonderful person who was always the warm light in the room. She served on the board of the new Pioneer Courthouse Square, and brought her common sense wisdom and joyous vision to that new public space. My warmest sympathies to all her family and many friends. Thank you for sharing her with all of us.

Pauline was indeed a civic treasure. With grace and passion, she quietly tilled so much soil and planted so many seeds. Generations reap now the bounty.
