Not sure what to say?

I learned of Polly's passing at the recent Blackhurst/Burner reunion along with the rest of the attendees. As it was the first time we had heard, there was naturally shock in the room among those who had known her. In past years, Polly was a bright light at the biannual event and will always be remembered fondly.

Mrs.Boss was not only my Kids Hope mentor, but also much like a grandmother to me. I will never forget the many wonderful times we spent together. She definitely had a great impact on my life, and I miss her very much. My prayers are with Dean and the rest of the family. God Bless.

My sister and I visited at your house on many occasions while Larry was in seminary. I'm remembering those loaves of bread and the strawberry jam. If I'd've been Larry's mom I might've been skeptical of a couple college girls coming for a visit -- but Mrs. Boss was ever generous, kind, and loving to us. Fed our bodies and our spirits.

All my memories of Polly are warm and joyful ones. It meant so much to me when I came to SAC as a freshman in 1974 to be welcomed with open arms into your home as one more member of the family. Her loving, gracious spirit was a wonderful example to me. I'm praying that God's rich comfort and joyful hope will be with you in this time of parting and grief.

Mrs. Boss was my 8th grade Sunday School teacher in 1978; she lead me in a prayer to accept Christ as my Savior and Lord. Praying for the family as you celebrate her life.

"I will always remember the many times the extended family gathered at the Boss's home for Thanksgiving or a summer, family reunion picnic at the Long Lake cottage. My prayers are with Uncle Dean and the rest of the family. I will miss Aunt Polly." Elaine Bonaire

Miss Polly was always a gracious host whenever I was a guest at the Boss household. Dean, you and Polly made your home a safe and warm place for all your children's freinds to visit, and Polly always made us feel loved and accepted. Larry, I wish I could be there to celebrate her life with you. She was indeed a wonderful mother. God bless you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Boss family. We have had the honor of seeing Polly's influence through the life of her son, Larry. Her heart to follow after Jesus has influenced her son and I and my family are different people because of her influence on her family.

We were so happy to hear that the Collingsworth family came to your home and sang for Polly! That's a big home going gift and one that will be remembered by many. Polly's life here on earth has blessed so many, and we rejoice with you that she is in the arms of God where all suffering has been taken away. We will be seeing her again!
