CRYSTAL LAKE – Pauline L. Chronos, 76 of Crystal Lake and formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010 in Park Ridge.
She was born July 25, 1933 in Chicago to Michael and Jennie Learakos.
For more than 25 years, she worked in the real estate industry and also was in the restaurant business. An avid painter and artist, she loved to read, but her greatest love was spending time with her family. She was affiliated with the Greek Orthodox Church.
Survivors include her husband, George P. Chronos of Crystal Lake, whom she married Nov. 17, 1957 in Chicago; her children, Peter Chronos of Keithsburg, Michael (Julie) Chronos of Tinley Park, Chrystine (Anthony) Concialdi of Crystal Lake and John (Peggy) Chronos of Algonquin; her grandchildren, Jonathan and Jenna Chronos, Lydia and GeorgeAnne Chronos, Paulina, Sam and George Concialdi, and George and Catherine Chronos; her sister JoAnne (the late George) Bolger of Palatine; her brother James Learakos of Crystal Lake; sister-in-law, Mitzie (the late Ted) Georgis of LaJolla, Calif.; brother-in-law Harry (Irena) Chronos of Cape Coral, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake. Funeral Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 28, at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 28, at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 S. Roselle Road, Palatine. The Rev. Peter Balkes will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
