Not sure what to say?

Still a guiding light. Such music and such soul.

Marion, you are alive in my heart. You taught me how to teach and picked me up when I was down. At age 77, I am having a book of poetry published and one poem--the Debussy Trio for Flute, Harp and Viola--is dedicated to you.

Marion was a wonderful christian, she was greatly loved by our family. I was blessed to know her over many years. At the age of 16 and could drive I started hauling her harp on weekends. Up until her last days, she always called me Bobby. My late wife Jane and I always enjoyed visiting her

Dear Marion, I was just remembering how she annotated one of my pieces, and then wrote at the top "for my students and grandstudents." I have always loved that concept--what we do goes down generation after generation. She spread so much that was good.

Marion, you were like a second mother to me. Always remembered. Our visits were profound

Mrs. Fouse sent me to the principles office more than any other teacher I had.
But looking back, having her as my music teacher in sellwood school was great.
Field trips to see the Oregon symphony back then was priceless, you were definitely a ROCKIN TEACHER back then, though you will be missed by many, you did alright by so many more!
R.I.P. Mrs. Fouse!

Fond memories of Marion Fouse throughout my childhood then early professional playing with Oprra and Symphony. A lovely and fine lady. She will be missed. Mary Ann Coggins Kaza retd Oregon Symphonycviolinist and Personnel Mgr.

Miss Fouse, never called her by her first name, was my first music teacher. She taught me how to play the violin. The last time I saw her was approximately thirty years ago. I often think of her and when I gave my violin to a grandnephew, I told him of her and her teaching style with me, carefully, complimentary and with a lot of encourgement.

Miss Fouse was harp teacher to my son for approximately 3 years at age 85! My son started lessons with her when he was 17 after 5 years of lessons from Jean Aarnio a previous harp student and colleague of Miss Fouse. He continued with her after he started college. We were blessed to know such an amazing woman. I know at that time she still had about 30 students. Which impressed me at her age. She was a lovely talented women and truly gifted. And will be missed. Rest in shalom Miss Fouse.
