Pauline S. Manca

Ledyard - Pauline S. Manca, 84, formerly of Avery Hill Road, Ledyard, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Fairview in Groton.

Mrs. Manca was born on Sept. 7, 1928, in Providence, R.I., the daughter of James and Estelle (Rolfe) Henderson. She was a 1946 graduate of the former Chapman Tech in New London. She was married to Mike J. Manca who died April 10, 2000, after 52 years of marriage. Mrs. Manca worked as a sales clerk at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Exchange.

She is survived by a son, Wayne R. Manca and his wife, Donna, of Norwich; and daughters, Sharon L. Biltcliffe and husband, Robert, of Norwich and Holly G. Weckwerth and husband, Scott, of Ledyard; a brother, Edward Henderson of Moosup; and a sister, Gloria Smith of Leander, Texas; three grandchildren, Mike Weckwerth and wife, Stacy, Laurel McArthur and husband, Charles, and MaryLynn Manca; and two great-grandchildren, Alicia Weckwerth and Callen McArthur.

Funeral services and burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New London was private.
