Pauline Mary Moskal

Pauline Moskal, 81, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, under the compassionate care of Dougherty Hospice House.

Born on January 31, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, Pauline was the beloved daughter of Paul and Agnes (Bogus) Bogan. She was baptized into the Catholic faith on March 5, 1944. A dedicated lifelong learner, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, on February 9, 1969.

On June 4, 1983, Pauline was united in marriage to Reginald Moskal at St. Linus Church in Oak Lawn, IL., Reginald passed away on October 20, 2012.  She made her home in Oak Lawn for many years before relocating to Sioux Falls in 2024 to be closer to family.

Pauline devoted her career to teaching in the Catholic school system, most notably at St. Damian Catholic Church, where she served as an elementary school teacher from 1977 until her retirement. Her deep commitment to education and her faith touched the lives of countless students and families.

Outside of the classroom, Pauline found joy in travel and cherished time spent with her family, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.  Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reginald, her mother and father, and her sisters.

A celebration of life visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. Interment will be 10:00am Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Saint Adalbert Cemetery, in Niles, Illinois.
